When you first come online you will almost certainly see lots of sales pages showing you Ferraris and Lambos, maybe a yacht or three and lots of talk about the exciting life of an IM’er.

Why? Because if they told you that it can be lonely and boring it wouldn’t be quite so attractive would it?

If you work alone then it is easy to feel like banging your head on the desk after you have spun your 7th article of the day. Reading all about toe nail clipping art and then writing articles on it is not a fun way to spend a day in most peoples books.

The problems set in when you get a bit bored, so you just  go and look at a forum, or a blog, or maybe a sales page.. Oooh someone is talking about this wonderful new ebook/system/tool

So you spend half hour reading and watching videos, then you buy it, download, read the manual, watch some videos and suddenly it is bed time..

Boredom is The Mind Killer

Not being able to deal with some boredom is the income killer.

When you are starting out this stuff can be as boring as all crap! There I said it, let me also say

  • I dont enjoy writing 500 word plus website content
  • I dont enjoy social bookmarking
  • I don’t enjoy making headers

So I don’t anymore

I use software or have people who I pay to do the stuff that drives me bonkers. I didn’t always do that though, I have written 100′s of articles and made loads of bookmarks in my day.

Fight through the boredom and once you know the bits that make money and you dont like doing look for an alternative. Software or outsourcing, it doesnt matter which, as long as the job gets done and you dont get pushed over the edge to get it done.

You will have to deal with some boring, tedious,mind numbing days so you can move onto the great days when you look at your income and realize you made as much yesterday as you did in the previous month!
