I have seen Meme’s be passed around Facebook, repinned on Pinterest and even be shared occasionally on G+. But today I realized that Meme’s have gone mainstream.

I love Sci Fi and I follow the SyFy channel, today they used a meme to promote their programming. This is a multi national channel, billions of dollars being spend on advertising and they choose to use a Meme!

Yes I know its naughty as they probably do not have rights to that image, although as it is being used to promote the showing of Star Trek films they probably will get away with it. Notice how they asked for other people to show their favorite memes. So everyone will be thinking of Star Trek and some will go “maybe we should watch “The Wrath of Khan” one more time”.
