I am sure other people have mentioned this new chrome extension but it was the Tweet from Ed Dale that made me actually think about it. I think his newsflash is actually a understatement

So while I would not do this , how long is it going to be until people are going onto mechanical Turk and paying 5c a time for someone to block their competitor for a specific result.

If you can spend $30 on getting someones site kicked out of the results for your search term you are one step up the score board that is cheaper than getting articles written.

At 5c a time $30 would buy you 600 blocks, heck if you went to 10c a time you would get 300 blocks.

I know they say they will study the resulting feedback and “explore using it” but you just know they will find something they don’t like..

I am not even the most devious person I know, I am sure there are people right now thinking of ways to manipulate this for no good.
